Split Stitch

Split

This split can be used as a line stitch or worked in rows or spirals to create filled areas with smooth directional movement in the stitching.

1. Bring the needle out and create a small back stitch.

2. Bring the needle back up directly under the first stitch to pierce it in the middle, then

     taking the needle back down to create another stitch.

3.  Repeat step 2.
