3.  Without stitching through the fabric lace thread B through stitch 1 from bottom to top

4.  Lace thread B through stitch 2 from top to bottom

This split can be used as a line stitch or worked in rows or spirals to create filled areas with smooth directional movement in the stitching.

1. Bring the needle out and create a small back stitch.

2. Bring the needle back up directly under the first stitch to pierce it in the middle, then

     taking the needle back down to create another stitch.

3.  Repeat step 2.

1.  Create a line of running stitch with thread A

2.  bring thread B up just under the first running stitch .

3.  Without stitching through the fabric lace thread B through stitch 1 from bottom to top

4.  Lace thread B through stitch 2 from top to bottom leaving the thread fairly loose and loopy

5.  Continue in this pattern for the full length of the running stitch

6.  bring thread B up just under the first running stitch .

7.   Without stitching through the fabric lace thread B through stitch 1 this time from top to bottom

8.  Continue in this pattern for the full length of the running stitch
